About Me.
Hey guys, I'm Marissa Basi! I'm a CFI, CFII, MEI located in Tampa, FL. I created this website to help provide resources to current flight instructors and students.
I'm 23 years old and just started my first job as a CFI. I'm originally from Southern Illinois but relocated to Tampa, FL in the Summer of 2021 where I finished my Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of South Florida. I attended ATP Flight School in Tampa where I completed all 7 of my certificates in 7 months.
Some of my favorite things include coaching soccer, playing with my two dogs, Koko and Khloe, and spending time at the beach with my family and friends.

August 2023 - March 2024
ATP Flight School
I attended ATP flight school where I was enrolled in the airline career pilot program. I went from zero time to multi engine instructor in 7 months. After my admissions flight, I was sold! It was the perfect school choice for me.
Bachelors of Science in Biology
University of South Florida
I completed my Bachelors of Science in Biology in 4 years, and at 3 different schools. I began my studies at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where I played division one soccer. After a year and a half at SIUC, I transferred to the University of Southern Indiana where I played for a semester and then made the final move to USF. At USF I played club soccer and was the captain of the women's team.
